Morgan Eggert performs in spring concerts at Concordia
Four musical ensembles from Concordia University, Nebraska will perform two combined concerts in April. The Chamber Choir and Chamber Orchestra will perform at 7 p.m. on Thursday, April 23, in the Recital Hall of Concordia's Music Center. The Male Chorus and Women's Chorale will perform at 4 p.m. on Sunday, April 26, at St. Gregory the Great Seminary in Seward, Nebraska.
Krieg-Vredenburg Engagement
Dale and Lisa Krieg of Edgewood, Iowa, are pleased to announce the engagement and upcoming wedding of their daughter, Emily Renee Krieg, to Christopher Ross Vredenburg of Edgewood, Iowa.
Chris is the son of Luann and the late Byron Vredenburg of Vinton, IA. Chris graduated from Vinton-Shellsburg High School in 2008. Chris is currently employed at Paladin in Delhi, IA.
Decorate Your Own Horse Statue for Display at the State Fair
The Iowa State Fair will celebrate our agricultural roots with a limited number of 3 ¼ foot tall painted concrete horses on display throughout the grounds during the 2015 Fair, August 13-23. Individuals, clubs and companies are invited to submit their own designs for these sculptures by May 15.
To enter, submit an entry form along with a written description and detailed drawing of the proposed paint design.

Two Vinton women are preparing for the Kirkwood 2nd semester Horticulture/Floral Careers design show.
Emily Cashman and Sue Sweet will be making arrangements for the public to view, along with several othe class members
The event takes place from 6-8 p.m. Friday, April 10.
"All of us will make two arrangements and we will go on stage in from of the audience and commentate on them," says Cashman.
